About the Reis Lab

The Reis Research Lab is focused on translational research of solid cancers, especially of the urinary tract, including urachal cancer. We put emphasis on molecular methods to gain further insights from a pathologist's perspective.

The Reis Lab / Genitourinary Tumor Research Group aims for a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms and their predictive value for personalized therapy approaches in solid cancers, focussed on genitourinary tumors. Most projects are in bladder cancer, but also in prostate and renal cancer. A specialty of the group is its strong interest in urachal cancer, which is a very rare and aggressive cancer. Please also visit our network site urachalcancer.org. In addition to the Research Lab, Prof. Reis is the medical head of the Department of Molecular Pathology at the Dr. Senckenberg Institute of Pathology. We offer a well-equipped research infrastructure.
